RECREATION AND EASY
ACCESS FOR DISABLED YOUTH
What do we do?
The prime objective of READY is to allow those less able than ourselves to take part in and enjoy sports, sporting events and recreation with as much independence as possible.
The Charity raises funds by every means it can, to help provide young people, up to 21 years who are disabled in some way, with access to recreation and sporting facilities and to help them participate in any form. This is achieved by joining forces with local businesses, Youth clubs, sporting venues, clubs and other charity Organisations, to raise funds and provide assistance with access ramps, disabled toilets, changing facilities, specialist sporting and recreation equipment.
The greatest joy for any disabled young person is to be able to compete or take part in an event or sport on equal terms and with out help, something able-bodied people take for granted. The desire to achieve and succeed is a common human trait and no less in those who are disabled. The problem is that it is costly to provide specialist equipment, help, support and specialist services.
‘They seek independence, help us to help them achieve it ‘
